Sandra McCoy has over 20 years of experience as a human resources expert. She was Assistant Director of Human Resources for the Palmdale School District, where she was a credentials analyst and focused on performance, productivity and efficiency. From there, she went to Santa Ana Unified School District as their Director of Human Resources. She was a classified personnel specialist and a classification and compensation analyst with a focus on departmental and organizational operations improvement.
She participated on the CABE 2017 Planning Committee and also the LCAP committee for both districts where she worked.
Ms. McCoy earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Chapman University and went on to earn her master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix. She holds the following certifications from the Association of California School Administrators: School Business Managers Academy and Personnel Administrators Academy. Ms. McCoy also holds a certification from the California School Personnel Commissioners Association in Merit Systems and a Negotiators certification from the School Employers Association of California.
