Robin Schmitt has more than 35 years of experience as a teacher and administrator in California’s public school districts. His professional leadership experience includes Chief Business Official; Executive Director, Programs and Intervention; Director, State and Federal Programs; school principal and vice principal; and science instructor.
As a school business official, Mr. Schmitt’s proven skills and abilities include budget development; creativity in addressing system and budget needs; analysis and validation of student and fiscal data; fiscal monitoring and reporting; enrollment projections, analysis and reporting; communication with staff and community; community engagement and maintenance of partnerships; grant management; facilities use and management; labor contract negotiations; improvement of system efficiency; leadership coaching; and liability risk reduction, among others.
Mr. Schmitt holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology, and a master’s degree and teaching credential in educational administration. He also holds a California Single Subject credential, K-12, in life science, and has completed the FCMAT CBO Mentor Program.
