Arlene Machado has over 47 years of public school experience.  Starting as an elementary school teacher, she next served as an assistant elementary school principal and then elementary school principal for the Morgan Hill Unified School District.  She later served as a district-level administrator in positions such as Interim Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources; Director, Instructional Technology & Enrollment; and Director, Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment until her retirement.

Ms. Machado continued to serve Morgan Hill USD in a post-retirement capacity as an MTSS Grant Coordinator and an administrative coach.  She also served as a supervisor in the Leaders in Educational Administration Program (LEAP) for the Santa Clara County Office of Education.  She currently is serving as a district-level consultant for various special projects.

Ms. Machado earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1974 from UC Davis and her standard elementary teaching credential in 1975 from San Jose State University.  She went on to earn her master’s degree in educational administration and a supervision administrative services credential from San Jose State University, as well.

Ms. Machado has extensive skills and experience in a wide range of school site- and district office-level programs in the areas of administrative coaching, mentorship, K-12 project management, educational services, and technology.
