Rose DuMond has nearly 40 years of experience, starting as a school psychologist at Campbell Union High School District, Campbell Union School District, and Alum Rock Elementary School District. She was then a program specialist and also served as a general education site administrator for Campbell Union High School District. Ms. DuMond served as an Assistant Director, then Interim Director of Educational Services, as well as Coordinator of Special Services at Fremont Union High School District. Toward the latter part of her career, she was Director of Special Education and Student Services for Morgan Hill Unified School District. Ms. DuMond’s career culminated at Santa Clara Unified School District as Coordinator of Special Education Services, providing leadership to both the special education and educational services departments. She currently provides consultation for the Coordinated Comprehensive Early Intervening Services (CCEIS) and MTSS activities in Santa Clara Unified School District.
Ms. DuMond has specialized in comprehensive reviews for the special education departments she served and has also served on WASC accreditation committees as Chairperson for numerous secondary settings. Ms. DuMond’s specific areas of expertise are in inclusive practices, pre-referral intervention, and MTSS implementation where she has taught and provided numerous trainings to prospective teachers and administrators through the Santa Clara County Office of Education.
Ms. DuMond earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from San Jose State University and her master’s degree in school psychology as well as her Pupil Personnel Services Credential, which she keeps current. She also earned her Educational Leadership Program Preliminary Administrative Credential at San Jose State University and a Clear Professional Administrative Credential at Santa Clara County Office of Education.
Ms. DuMond holds the following professional affiliations: Association of California School Administrators (ACSA); California Association of School Psychologists; Aromas Community Park Board of Directors; and the Teachers Gallery, Manila, Philippines.
