Mr. Kramer has approximately 30 years’ administrative experience as an elementary school principal, having held positions at five different schools in the Capistrano Unified School District and in one elementary school in the Solana Beach School District. Some of Mr. Kramer’s notable achievements throughout his career were implementing the first Opening Ceremony program in the Capistrano Unified School District, as well as an integrated rewards and consequences program that included the development of a reward card with 40 local businesses; wrote a Title VII federal grant to begin a Two-Way Language Immersion program; provided vision and leadership to double the size of the Two-Way Language Program and to develop a Magnet concept for the future of the elementary program; 2008 California State Title 1-achieving school; effectively utilized and staffed an intervention room to provide small group instruction for At-Risk students.
Earning a bachelor’s degree in religious studies at University of California, Santa Barbara, Mr. Kramer went on to earn a master’s in education from San Jose State University. He holds a Professional Clear Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential and an Administrative Services Credential.
Since his retirement, Mr. Kramer has served in several interim principal positions, including Top of the World Elementary (Laguna Beach USD); San Elijo Elementary and Twin Oaks Elementary (San Marcos USD); and Carmel Creek Elementary and Skyline Elementary (Solana Beach School District).
He has made a number of conference presentations, namely, National Association for Bilingual Education Annual Conference (Mr. Kramer speaks Spanish on an intermediate level); Improving America’s Schools Conference; California Association for Bilingual Education; U.S. Department of Education, IASA West Regional Conference; Texas Association of School Boards Annual Conference, the topic of which was Model Programs: Las Palmas Comprehensive School Program; and Two-Way Language Immersion Conference, topic of which was Comprehensive School Planning and Management.
Mr. Kramer enjoys membership in the Association of California School Administrators; Association of Curriculum and Development; National Association for Bilingual Education; and California Association for Bilingual Education.
